Oversimplified Theory of How Humans Make Decisions

Traditional economists think we make only rational decisions, driven entirely by brain calculations. That's obviously far from true. A better model accounts for the fact that we have two more things beyond the brain: the heart (emotions) and the gut (instinct). All three influence our choices.
